Magnificent trousseau tablecloth dating from the very beginning of the 20th century. The material is a heavy métis, a magnificent blend of linen and textured cotton in an ecru color. The tablecloth is richly embroidered with lace, crochet work and several embroidered motifs with different techniques, lace, crochet, drawn thread work, openwork. The floral motifs and the rosette frame a large mythological motif of Diana the Huntress.
This tablecloth comes from the same trousseau as the curtain also on sale in the shop. These are textiles that come from a castle in the South of France, near Toulouse. This is the very first time I have hunted down a complete dining room in such impeccable condition!
Excellent condition, almost new, freshly washed and ironed, ready to use! Ideal for a festive table or family lunches.
