This Hermès Napoléon scarf is a rare first edition dating from 1963.
It was designed by Philippe Ledoux and shows us all the imperial symbolism of the Napoleonic epic.
The fabric is a silk of good weight, fluid and soft, the hems are rolled and sewn by hand.
The composition brings together emblematic elements of the Emperor: two flags surmounted by their eagles on which we see on the left the habit of the First Consul, on the right his hunting uniform, the Grand Collar of the Legion of Honor, the sword of the First Consul and that of the Emperor, two sabers from the Egyptian campaign and, finally, his mythical hat, the cocked hat.
Five medallions inspired by famous paintings recall the dazzling destiny of the Emperor.
This Hermès scarf can also be worn or displayed as a beautiful historical document!
