Beautiful antique nightgown from the early 19th century.
The fabric is a mid-weight pure linen, a gorgeous off-white fabric with lovely irregularities in the weave.
The shirt has a beautiful round neckline closed by two original mother-of-pearl buttons.
Just under the button placket there is a red cross stitch MS monogram.
This old nightgown must not have been worn much because it is unused, beautiful rare condition for its age!
It is a large size, spacious and comfortable.
I recently washed and ironed this nightgown which is ready to wear!
These loose pure linen nightgowns make beautiful dresses to wear in summer and winter alike...
